Help Wanted: What does the labor shortage mean for working people?

Interested in learning about what’s new in the labor movement?

Join us on Tuesday, October 19, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT) for EWOC’s event Help Wanted: What Does the ‘Labor Shortage’ Mean For Working People? There has been much debate this past summer over labor shortages, strikes, and spontaneous low wage worker walkouts. America’s workers are looking at low wages, horrible hours, a lack of governmental support, risks and personal costs — and many are deciding that they’ve had enough. Hear from labor organizers and activists, as they unpack the real reasons as to why labor is reacting like it is at this historical moment.

We’ll hear from

  • Hadas Thier, activist, journalist, and author of “A People’s Guide to Capitalism: An Introduction to Marxist Economics”
  • Emilio Enriquez, organizer with the Restaurant Organizing Project
  • Rebecca Garelli, teacher and organizer with Arizona Educators United (AEU)

You can RSVP for the event here. We hope to see you there!

Solidarity,

Team EWOC
