Connect with a workplace organizer to get the hazard pay, personal protective equipment, and dignity you deserve at work.
Step one: Get organized.
The Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee’s Organizing Guide is a summary of the key concepts we cover in our training series. It’s not a standalone manual, but it’s a useful guide for you and your coworkers to learn how to start organizing at your workplace.
The Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC) is a project of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) to build a distributed, grassroots organizing program to support workers organizing at the workplace.
You deserve health and safety for your family, your customers, and yourself. Talk with an organizer to get the protective equipment you need at your workplace.
You deserve higher wages. Workers are at higher risk of exposure to COVID-19, and your boss can make sure the pay is worth the risk.
You deserve respect at work. Without you and your coworkers, your boss would have nothing. If you’re not getting the respect you deserve, talk with an organizer.
We are organizing frontline workers to get the hazard pay and adequate protections they deserve and fight for dignity, respect, and racial equality.

“I’m doing this because I want to guarantee the health and safety of my customers, my team, and myself!”
“I was scared in the beginning, but we have so much support from parents and everyone around us that I don’t feel scared anymore.”
“Word spread fast, and to this day strangers will come into the store, asking us how the strike went.”
